HeraHub, an emerging Franchisor that provides entrepreneurial women a shared workspace to collaborate, innovate and grow their businesses needed a business organizing and technology partner to bring the current corporate locations (3) organized and up to speed on Google Apps-Drive. Prior to even the most innovative franchisors, Felena Hanson of HeraHub recognized that Google Apps was the future of business management. From files to email Felena didn't accept the notion that her business needed expensive hardware and software to manage systems. However, when the business documentation was setup a few years back, each location was sharing the same folders without a structured, Google Drive filing system. As HeraHub planned to expand outside of corporate locations into franchising, they needed a system that could both scale, be secure and provide value to their incoming franchisee’s.
First, be. worked with key stakeholders inside and outside of IT to build a custom plan for how the data would be sorted and what could be accessed “inside and outside the parent”. Working with the business and admin staff that access the folders daily in addition to the IT team that manages technology is important to gain long term buy-in from corporate staff and future franchisee’s. This wasn't an IT issue; it was a business issue.
By creating a parent-child folder structure, management and the franchisor was able to access all folders and locations, while specific franchisee locations where offered access only to their folders.
Now, each HeraHub location can easily keep records, systems and processes in order---and as franchisee’s come aboard, everyone can have peace of mind that folders and files will always be where they are supposed to reside.
